welcome to ginny gray gallery

Update: Thank you to everyone who visited the Edinburgh Art Fair 2011, and in particular to our customers. We had a successful and hugely enjoyable time participating in this prestigious art event for the second year in a row. Click here to download a two-page PDF on the artists we showed at Edinburgh. And please keep checking back on our website for news of future fairs. We have some exciting plans for 2012.

We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant contemporary art gallery in the centre of historic Buckingham.

Our carefully chosen artworks appeal to discerning collectors and novice first-time buyers alike. We specialise in paintings, original prints, sculpture, ceramic art and glass pieces. There's also silver jewellery by Ginny Gray and other selected designer-makers.

If you’re bored of run-of-the-mill High Street predictability, seek out something fresh and original. Art makes a powerful statement and brings enormous pleasure to its owners.

We offer an art consultancy and advisory service for corporate customers/businesses and private individuals. We have worked with interior design companies to deliver bespoke art to an exacting brief that is perfect for a commercial space. We also work directly with clients such as hotels. Whatever your art needs – whether you're buying something to brighten your home, enhance your business or as a carefully considered investment – we can help.

Although our permanent gallery space is in Buckingham, we're constantly extending our reach. We take part in contemporary art fairs in different parts of the UK and have a growing number of clients from outside our region. We have sold pieces to international buyers and shipped work overseas.  Click to see some of our selected artists' work

We also offer a top quality bespoke mounting and framing service for artworks, sports shirts, memorabilia and a wide range of other items. Our framer is among the best in the business, with over 20 years' experience and a commendation from the Fine Art Trade Guild.

If you are unable to make it in to the gallery in person, please don't hesitate to call or email with any enquiries and we will be delighted to help. We have far more art than we can show on our website or gallery walls at any one time and we take great pleasure in providing a personal service that meets our clients' high expectations.

Featured Artist - Janet Rogers

We're always replenishing with exciting fresh work. We we now have a new series of landscapes by Janet Rogers. These beautiful mixed media pieces are heavily textured and feature either gold or silver leaf. Applying the same techniques as Samuel Palmer used in the early 19th century, Janet mixes gum arabic with watercolour, painting it on in layers and then varnishing. This unique three-dimensional effect captures the English countryside perfectly. Janet is a very popular artist whose work is in demand in the UK and abroad.

Featured Artist - Sue Moffitt

Sue Moffitt is famous for her characterful portraits of cows, which are both quirky and technically accomplished. Her style has been widely imitated, but seldom matched. Coming from a family that has farmed for generations – her grandfather established the famous Hunday Herd of Holstein Friesians, while her father John received a CBE for services to agriculture – Sue’s innate bond with cattle is clearly evident in her work. Her paintings are statement pieces, full of vividness and vitality, but what sets them apart from the work of lesser ‘cow painters’ is their emotional depth. Given its broad appeal, there is strong demand for her work.

After selling out of Sue’s work earlier this year, we are pleased to have received four new original paintings from the artist. In each case, the main image is painted in oils, contrasted against bright acrylic backgrounds. The pieces are box canvases in identical burnished silver-coloured frames (framed dimensions 33” x 33”) and are strikingly beautiful when hung individually or as companion pieces. The paintings are priced at £1,750 each. Left to right: Mariette, Rose-Lou, Blaze and Temptress. NB Mariette and Rose-Lou have now been sold.
