Update: Thank you to everyone who joined us at Reading Contemporary Art Fair on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th April. We'll be posting more information on forthcoming events shortly including our participation in Windsor Contemporary Art Fair and Edinburgh Art Fair later this year.
If you’re bored of mass-produced predictability, seek out something fresh and original instead. Art makes a powerful statement, expressing creativity, personal taste, discernment and individuality. Contemporary work can be beautiful, challenging, evocative, technically accomplished, thought-provoking, innovative, deceptively simple. It can bring tremendous pleasure to its owners, either as a piece of decoration that helps set the mood of a room or as a subtle, amusing, inspirational or even provocative talking point. More than that, high quality comtemporary art is often surprisingly affordable. Deciding not to follow the herd need not cost the earth.
We specialise in paintings, original prints and sculpture by contemporary artists and our carefully chosen artworks appeal to discerning collectors and novice first-time buyers alike. Although our business began in Buckingham as a small local high street gallery, we have evolved to become increasingly national and even international in our outlook.
Today we are proud to exhibit our artists' wonderful work at major contemporary art fairs across the UK. Moreover, it has been our pleasure to sell pieces to international buyers and ship work overseas. Click to see some of our selected artists' work.
business & art
At ginny gray gallery we offer an art consultancy and advisory service for corporate customers/businesses as well as for private individuals. We have worked with interior design companies to deliver bespoke art to an exacting brief that is perfect for a commercial space. We also work directly with clients such as hotels.
One of our directors has a long track record in the corporate communications and marketing field, which, coupled with our knowledge of the art market leaves us well-placed to create and develop arts sponsorships and arts-related marketing projects for corporate clients that are effective at delivering against business objectives.
Whatever your art needs – whether you're buying something to brighten your home, enhance your business or as a carefully considered investment – we can help.
featured artist - Janet Rogers
Janet Rogers' beautiful mixed media landscapes are heavily textured and feature either gold or silver leaf. Applying the same techniques as Samuel Palmer used in the early 19th century, Janet mixes gum arabic with watercolour, painting it on in layers and then varnishing. This unique three-dimensional effect captures the English countryside perfectly. Janet is a very popular artist whose work is in demand in the UK and abroad.
featured artist - Sue Moffitt
Sue Moffitt is famous for her characterful portraits of cows, which are both quirky and technically accomplished. Her style has been widely imitated, but seldom matched. Coming from a family that has farmed for generations – her grandfather established the famous Hunday Herd of Holstein Friesians, while her father John received a CBE for services to agriculture – Sue’s innate bond with cattle is clearly evident in her work. Her paintings are statement pieces, full of vividness and vitality, but what sets them apart from the work of lesser ‘cow painters’ is their emotional depth. Given its broad appeal, there is strong demand for her work.
featured artist - Peter Kotka
Peter Kotka is internationally renowned for his Still Life oil paintings of fruit, fine wines and other subjects. In his work he blends contemporary and traditional styles, colours and techniques to give his paintings individuality, detail and atmosphere. Although UK based, he has exhibited frequently in the US where his work is popular.
