about us
We are a contemporary art and crafts gallery well-known for the high quality, affordability and diversity of our carefully chosen artworks. Gallery owners Ginny and Rob Gray both love art and enjoy finding beautiful pieces. We like to support and promote talented local artists from Buckinghamshire and the surrounding area but we also represent widely collected artists from further afield.
We are located close to the Georgian Old Town Hall, topped with its famous gilded swan – the symbol of Buckinghamshire – among the growing band of independent retailers in the revitalised Bridge Street/Well Street shopping quarter of Buckingham. Our normal opening hours are 9.30am to 5.00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our half day is Wednesday, when we close at 1pm. We are closed on Sundays except for occasional special events, details of which can be found on our news and events page.
Free street parking is often available around the corner from us in Well Street. Alternatively there are two town centre car parks, again providing free parking, a short walk away at either Cornwall's Meadow or Western Avenue. Further information about where to park your car in Buckingham is available from Aylesbury Vale District Council.
If you're visiting Buckingham from further afield, you'll discover there's plenty to see and do in this historic town. Our gallery is located close to famous landmark The Old Gaol, which houses a museum and Buckingham's Tourist Information Centre. We're two minutes' walk around the corner from the luxury Villiers Hotel, the only four-star hotel in the North Buckinghamshire area, which is an ideal base for leisure breaks and a great place to go for lunch or dinner. Directly opposite Villiers Hotel you'll find Yellow Kite Gallery, which features contemporary paintings, prints and 3D pieces by leading artists from the region and across the UK. Buckingham has art at its heart. Come and enjoy today's creativity amid some glorious gems of historic architecture.
Just outside Buckingham there's the breathtaking Stowe Landscape Gardens, with its ornamental lakes and more than 40 monuments, temples and secret corners, all lovingly preserved by the National Trust. Additionally, there's the Georgian splendour of Claydon House, noted for its intricate wood carvings and fabulous decorations. Buckingham is also close to famous motor racing circuit Silverstone and within easy driving distance of Bicester, Brackley, Milton Keynes, Northampton and many other places of interest in Buckinghamshire and beyond. Further details of places to see and where to stay when visiting the region can be found here.
There's always something interesting going on at ginny gray gallery. Please come and see for yourself.

Our established artists have fast-growing reputations and many are keenly collected. But as a gallery we also take pleasure in unearthing and nurturing fresh talent, for example through our annual Art Idol competition for young artists aged 16-25 from the Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire region.
